Chard W.A.T.CH Project would like to thank South Somerset District Council (SSDC) Community Development Officer’s Project Fund, and Chard Town Council Community Development (CTCCD) for their kind donations towards a much needed hearing loop system. CTCCD contributed £1k and £950 was provided by SSDC with Chard W.A.T.CH Project then raising money for the remaining £193.20.
Many of our members and volunteers who have hearing problems have struggled to hear what was going on within the project but with the purchase of this equipment they are no longer feeling secluded or isolated and are able to enjoy all the benefits of the project.

Any other local community projects or organisations are welcome to have the use of the hearing loop system for any individual events they are holding and can obtain the equipment by contacting Julie Matthews on 07506 238540.
