The folks at Time to Change recently sent a playlist of videos to all their Champions in Somerset. All the videos were made by Champions with lived experience and were funded by the Champions Fund. We found the videos so helpful and inspiring, that we thought we’d share them with you, too.
Time to Change was started in 2007 , with the aim of raising awareness and understanding about Stigma and Discrimination towards those of us whose lives are affected by mental health problems. The work has expanded, and has come to span the whole globe.Â
Here in Somerset in 2020, in association with Mind in Somerset, Time to Change has achieved some truly fantastic work. WATCH members have worked closely with Time to Change over the years, and several of us have become Champions during that time.
Sadly the funding for the national project will end completely on the 31st of March 2021. However the anti discrimination work will continue in the various TTCHUbs. Despite the lack of funding , the issues that Time to Change aims to challenge still continue, and there is lots of work to do. The WATCH project wishes all the Champions luck with all their future endeavours!
