It’s time to talk

It's time to talk

Time to Talk Day 6 February 2014

Talk, Shout or Sing about mental health on 6th February this year. It’s time to end the discrimination against mental health!!  Everyone can make a difference. As we say  “It’s the little things which make a big difference”.

How to get involved:

  • Think about whether you could organise an activity on 6 February to support Time to Talk Day in your workplace, school, local doctor’s surgery or just with your friends and family. This could as simple as having a conversation about mental health over a cup of tea – or as creative as you’d like to be.
  • Register to take part in the day by signing up at www.time-to-change.org.uk/talkday
  • Help us spread the word that the day is happening. Tell your friends, family and colleagues, tweet using #timetotalk and put a message on Facebook.  Get people to visit our website to find out more and register their interest: www.time-to-change.org.uk/talkday

Chard WATCH Project will be holding their own Time to Talk event on February 6th called Breakdown to Breakthrough. This will include a David Reakes ‘workshop on acting and performance skills around the stigma of mental health. Followed late afternoon by a tea and talk session where members, volunteers and members of the public can discuss the challenges around mental health. Please come along and support us.
