Joyce Passmore’s Heartfelt Contribution to Chard WATCH

We are delighted to share that Joyce Passmore, a friend of the project, recently made a generous donation of £500 to Chard WATCH! She specifically requested that this contribution goes toward a music fund for its members and beneficiaries because she’s a big believer in the uplifting power of song and sound – especially for those grappling with mental health issues.

Joyce’s support for WATCH extends far beyond her recent donation of course. She has been a pillar in our little community for many years now, and has regularly shared her experience and insights into the mental health system at various events we’ve held. Her story of overcoming challenges always serves as a great inspiration to many.

Beyond her love for music, Joyce finds solace and companionship in her beloved dog, Jack [pictured together above]. She passionately advocates for pet ownership, recognizing the comfort and unwavering companionship that furry friends provide. (Especially when they’re good boy’s like Jack!)

Joyce recently celebrated her 80th birthday as well, marking eight decades of resilience, kindness, and encouragement for others. And her story has been beautifully written down in her book, The Light in My Mind. It comes highly recommended by us all, and you can learn more about it here: https://watchproject.org.uk/the-light-in-my-mind-by-joyce-passmore/

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the always lovely Joyce (and Jack) for their incredibly generous donation. Her positive impact continues to resonate throughout our community all these years later. Joyce’s story remains a beacon of hope for anyone facing challenges, and honestly, we’re running out of ways to express just how great she truly is! Thank you so much. 🌟🐾🎵
