WATCH, in partnership with Somerset Skills & Learning, has recently completed some Peer Champion training hosted by ARK at Egwood.
A Peer Champion is an ambassador within their own organisation for supporting new and current members, as well as representing their setting in the public eye.
Peer Champions will have specific roles in their organisations and this training was centred around exploring and developing the skills required, as well as the importance of safeguarding our own wellbeing when supporting others.
The amazing thing about bringing different organisations together is that we have built bridges between projects and we all know a little more about what we do, which stands us in good stead for working together towards positive mental health in Somerset.
