Training Manager
Responsible to: Our CEO, Julie Matthews
Responsible for: a great team of dedicated Tutors, Training Facilitators and
Peer Support Trainers
Liaison with: Training stakeholders, managers and funders
Main responsibilities
As our Training Manager, most of your time will be spent working with our
creative training team developing and delivering an array of top-quality
training packages. We are recognised as a peer-provision leader in
Somerset, and our expertise is used to deliver projects externally within the
Open Mental Health Network (OMHN). A smaller, although equally as
valuable part of your role, is supporting the ongoing success of these
projects.
Open Mental Health Training Projects
• Attend relevant Open Mental Health project meetings and workstreams
as required, including development and strategic work.
• Work in partnership with the Contracts Manager to support the success
of external training projects, specifically our peer support provision.
Develop our course offering
• Create a range of mental health training face-to-face and online.
• Develop the WATCH training prospectus.
• Oversee the promotion of training, through a variety of avenues.
Team development
• Support trainers to continually develop high-quality training.
• Oversee the delivery of training programs within timelines and budgets.
• Manage all staff who deliver WATCH training.
• Manage 2 team members that work within a project under the Open
Mental Health project under Chard Watch
Admin
• Manage the booking of training rooms internally and externally.
• Monitor quality by developing evaluation and feedback processes.
• Collect evaluations for review and report feedback to key stakeholders.
• Create a recruitment process to support the safe delivery of the service.
• Collaborate with other providers with peer-related provisions to utilise
existing models and good practices.
• Other duties as required.
