“Word/Play is a three year project by Take Art, bringing together theatre, spoken word and digital media to create change. It’s for people in Somerset: individuals, groups and communities. Anyone, in fact, whon wants their voice to be heard, to feel better about themselves or to make a difference in their lives.”
On Tuesday W.A.T.CH members had their first session with Take Art artists who engaged them in various activities to help them express themselves and build confidence.
The session was totally inspiring, motivating, professional and great fun. Myself and support worker noticed how more engaged our members were and certainly starting to be more expressive. All were able to contribute to the making of a poem and believe this will be able to be seen on the Take Art website.
